【摘要】:Thistestmethodmaybeusedtoquicklydeterminevolumeandbulkdensityofarefractoryofanyshape,providedithassufficientstructuralintegritytopermithandling.Thusitmaybeusedonunfiredorfired,strongorfriableshapes.Sincethetestmaybeperformedquickly,ithasfoundapplicationasmanufacturingin-processcontrolaswellasincharacterizingfinishedrefractoryproducts.Alsoitmaybeusedtoexaminespecimensafterothertestorserviceexposure.1.1Thistestmethodcoversthebasicprocedurefordeterminingbulkdensityandvolumeofrefractoryshapes.Thistestisapplicabletoallrefractoryshapesormonoliths,burnedorunburned,independentofcompositionorformingmethod,includingmaterialsthatslakeandhydrate.Itisparticularlysuitablefordeterminingbulkdensityandvolumeofcomplexshapesafterforming,sinceresultsmaybeobtainedinamatterofminutes.1.2Units8212;Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.ThevaluesgiveninparenthesesaremathematicalconversionstoSIunitsthatareprovidedforinformationonlyandarenotconsideredstandard.1.2.1Exception8212;ThebalanceusedinthisstandardisonlyavailableinSIunits(Sections3-6).1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Foraspecifichazardstatement,seeNote2.
